Ask Forfree Delivery Opens Up Big Lead Then Hangs on in Doubledogdare Stakes
The Doubledogdare Stakes may have seemed like an evenly matched race before hand, but in the end it would become a two horse race as Ask Forfree Delivery and Retrospect convincingly pulled away from the rest of the field and settled it between themselves.

It’s A Runyon Reunion in Times Square
We get ourselves a good ol’ Smokey Stover versus Arindel duel in the 14th running of the Times Square, which is part of the NY Stallion Series. The race draws a field of seven, but those two trainers will have five of those runners. D J C Racing Stables and La Canada Racehorses have the other horses in the field and will look to play the spoiler role.

Doubledogdare Stakes Draws a Field of Six
A field of six have made their way to KEE for Friday’s running of the Doubledogdare Stakes, which is on the main track for older females, sending them a little more than a mile. The race was first held in 2005, and ran for only $100.000.

High In Hollywood to Be High in KYD (Probably) After Lexington Win
The running of the Lexington represented the final opportunity for a horse to earn valuable KYD points, with twenty of them on the line for the winner. There were a few in this field that came into the race tied with 30 points, an amount that by itself would be highly unlikely to get in, but a win would change everything.

Mickey Scores Another Grade 1 Win in Makers Mark Mile
The last time that Mickey was on this race track, he was scoring a win in the BC Turf. Since we last saw him here at KEE, Mickey added two more Grade 1 victories to his credit, capturing the HOL Derby in December, and the winning the Kilroe Mile in his last start. It would have seemed logical, therefore, for him to have been one of the favorites for this race, and he was the horse that we picked to win.

Lexington Is the Last Chance for KYD Points
After a dominant weekend last week, Mb Stables is sitting pretty. Many other stables are not in the same predicament, and will be watching the last chance to accrue points for the KYD. 20 points are on the line for the winner of the Grade 3 Lexington, with 8, 6, 4, 2 points available for the second to fifth place finishers. The big question will be, how many points are necessary to get into the big race?

Two BC Winners Return to KEE for Makers Mark Mile
Some of the best turf horses in the game today will be making their way to KEE on Friday for the 19th running of the Makers Mark Mile, a race that was initially a Grade 2 but quickly changed over to its Grade 1 designation, in 2007.

Mb Stables Kicks Off Dominant Day with Battle Plan in Wood Memorial
There were three 100-point KYD races that took place on Saturday, and Mb Stables did not need to win any of them. He had qualified more horses to the race than he will be allowed to enter, but that did not stop him from trying to win these races, for the prestige and purse monies that they offer. When the smoke cleared, Mb Stables would celebrate a victory in all three of these races, with Battle Plan being the one who got it done to start the day in the Wood Memorial.

Albaquirky Comes from Behind to Win Shakertown
A field of ten made their way to KEE for the running of the Grade 2, Shakertown, and one of the big questions surrounding this race would be how much of an impact would the eight pound weight allowance that the three year olds in the race actually be? For this time anyway, it would not make any kind of difference at all, as the top three horses in the race were older.

Ideal Info Snaps Winless Streak in Commonwealth
The Grade 3 Commonwealth had the appearance of a wide open race, and that would play out with a tight, three-way photo occurring at the wire. Prevailing in that would be Ideal Info, a gelding trained by Arindel that needed a good race after a couple of stinkers leading into it.
