A field of ten have assembled for Saturday’s running of the inaugural Whitmore Stakes. It has been given a Grade 3 designation for this debut, as well as a $200.000 purse and will run for six furlongs on the dirt.

She is the headliner of this ungraded stake that runs at GP for the eighth time. This is a turf sprint that initially debuted for a $75.000 purse, and it would receive it’s increase to $100.000 in 2022.

We will be treated to an exciting field for the 18th running of the Azeri at OP on Saturday, featuring the likes of Z Command, Karloffs Monster, and Naples, among many others. It’s a field that is very worthy of the $350.000 purse that it offers.

Christina G Looks for Her Second Hurricane Bertie Win
The starting gate is mostly full on Saturday for the 19th running of the Grade 3 Hurricane Bertie, a race that debuted in 2004 and has taken place every year other than 2016. The purse levels for the race have generally been consistent, but we have seen some minor fluctuation in the distance of the race.

Mickey Proves Doubters Wrong in Kilroe Mile
There was much to like about Mickey heading into the Kilroe Mile even with the race having as strong of a field as it did. The Proud Chai gelding was a monster as a three year old, capping off a great season with a win in the BC Turf. He was not done there, though, continuing his great form and looking like the one to beat here. While he was our pick to win, the bettors did not feel the same way for some reason, and made him a 14/1 longshot.

Dead Heat in Buena Vista Stakes
The great La Terrifiant made her way to SA on Saturday for the Grade 2 Buena Vista Stakes looking to pick up her 20th career victory. She would accomplish that, but for this occasion she would have to share the spoils with another one as Painville was right alongside her at the wire, finishing in a dead heat.
