The Ticonderoga

Fillies and Mares Three Years Old and Upward Foaled in NY
Aqueduct October 25, 2025
The Ticonderoga drew a small field of five and turning for home there were four horses across the track fighting it out. For a moment it appeared it was going to be hard fought to the wire, but early pace setter Sandrine would fade, and winner Barewolf proved just too strong despite having to go widest of all. Behind the winner we had a dead heat for second between Pollards Game and Stink Eye.
Winner: Barewolf Breath of the Wild/Gairwolfe (Neon Wolf) Maximillion Farm (K Carmouche) Bode her time and tracked the leaders a couple of lengths back then moved strongly on the final turn. Found clear running four wide and powered home to win by a widening length. Very impressive effort. This filly has now won four of her seven lifetime races and has never missed hitting the board. She has won three of four for new trainer Maxmillion who was shrewd enough to purchase her for $88.000 after she came out of the Smokey gift sale. Only three she is one to watch going forward. (Note: second Smokey bred in a row to win this race. Blooper won last years edition.)
Second: Pollards Game Pollards Vision/Mark My Words (Spacewalker) La Canada Racehorses (J. Rosario) Sat off the pace along with the eventual winner. Gained a cleaner path just off of the rail for the stretch run but could not match strides with Barewolf although she was able to catch Stink Eye to share the runner up winnings. Another sharp effort for the four-year-old who has not been worse than second in her last four.
Second: Stink Eye Expert Eye/Mallorca (Dial It In) TwinTowersRacing (R.M. Hernandez) She stalked closest of all right off of a fairly leisurely pace (the half was in :47). Was put in a winning position for the stretch run but was also no match for the winner on this day. She was stubborn to the wire thought and would not let Pollards Game pass which ultimately led to sharing the place spot.
Congratulations to Maxmillion Farm for their first win in this race, the twenty-second running of the Ticonderoga. The winning time was 1:40,01.
