This is one of those HRP specials going from a TAM $12.50 claimer to stakes winner in a few weeks and now destined to become a grade three stakes winner. Interestingly or sadly depending which way you look at it the two races were won in almost identical times and yet the speed figure jumped from a fair 88 to a brilliant 97. Drawn perfectly again it isn’t beyond the realms of HRP that she will win again.
2 Never Forgotten Jive Inc. Velazquez J R
Whilst Deeback was running in cheap claimers this one was winning graded stakes but compare the work times and indeed the winning times and Deeback would have the advantage…go figure. On the brilliant effort to be beaten just a head in the grade two Eight belles last time she looks a good thing here from the best draw especially as she drop back to a trip that looks made for her.
3 Miss Tallmadge John Henry Leparoux J R
Less than a length behind Never Forgotten in the Eight belles these two fillies have met several times with Never Forgotten just shading it at the moment. This one has been slightly less successful in actually winning races with just the two from twelve but she will finish close to Never Forgotten again and that could mean she will be fighting for the win this time.
4 Silver Jazzmin The Sidley Stud Gutierrez R
The trainer specializes in winning the lower level meets and that’s where this one had been winning her races up to her last start. Proving once again at HRP there is not much difference between a stakes race and an allowance at FON she went from that track to very nearly make all and win the grade three Desert Stormer last time at SA. She gets another chance at the big time today and should be in the fight again.
5 Christina G Mb Stables Franco M
Another claimed for $12.50 in the past she has won 4 from 7 and has improved to be good enough to take the Jersey Girl last time. Of course the winning time in that race was the same as the rest including the claimers but she won very easily and represents another strong entry from the champion trainer. In a race with 7 winning chances she has a winning chance.
6 Morning Song Jokerjoes Castellano J J
Unbeaten in two she looks a promising type but i feel this wider draw may be her undoing and she may not quite be ready for this level. Having said that she is a relevant entry but this is a pretty strong field.
7 Zealous Kruz Estero Farms Lezcano J
Fourth in the Eight belles just a length back she goes into the hopper with all the other clones as a winning chance. Of course the outside draw will make it tough for the trainer to guess the best instructions but if they get it right there is no reason why she couldn’t be the one.
SUMMARY
There are 5 runners here that all have similar winning times and work times and any of them could win…..as usual. On form you would have to go for Never Forgotten with her perfect draw but the Mb Stables pair will be danger despite their inferior form.
