Big Jd Racing’s When Doves Cry proved to be too strong, just as her .25/1 odds said, taking Friday’s NY Stallion Stakes – Joy, covering the six panels in 1:12.39 over the soft AQU turf.  La Canada Racehorses covered the second and third spots, with True Dreamer grabbing the place, and stable-mate Miss Royal Crown setting the pace but tiring late to be third.  It was a nose back to Plain Pants Party, from the Saratoga Stud outfit, grabbing the minor money, then signaling in fifth, four lengths covering the field of five.
