The field broke from the gate as one in the six furlong $100.000 LCD Sprint at FG. After a furlong, Brilliant Dreams held a short lead on the rail with Midnight Path and Bravo Whisky within a length of the leader. It was another ¾ length back the Snippets Dancer in fourth with Copper Way right behind him, and Chief Of Arc was three lengths off the leader.
The first quarter mile went in 22.99 with Brilliant Dreams still showing the way and even extending that lead to a 1 ½ lengths over Bravo Whisky and Midnight Path who vied for second and third. The niext flight of Copper Way and Snippets Dancer where almost 2 lengths back, and Chief Of Arc was out of it by 5 ½.
Into the turn, Midnight Path started a strong move on the outside. Bravo Whisky waited for the weakening leader, Brilliant Path to come off the rail. Copper Way pulled away from Snippets Dancer and started his run. Snippets Dancer and Chief Of Arcs rounded out the field.
Midnight Path took the lead at the head of the stretch with 2 furlongs left to run. Bravo Whisky came off the rail and took up the chase. Copper Way still had 2 ¼ lengths to make up, and the two grays, Snippets Dancer and Chief Of Arcs lagged behind him.
In mid-stretch, Midnight Path took the lead from Brilliant Dreams. With a furlong to run, Bravo Whisky caught him and the battle was on. In a few jumps, Bravo Whisky got past Midnight Path and he hit the wire ¾ of a length in front. Midnight Path held on for second and Copper Way got up for third. Chief Of Arcs made a late run to finish fourth ahead of Brilliant Dreams and Snippets Dancer.
It was the fourth win for Hawaiian Shirt Guy’s three-year-old gelding and his second state-bred stakes win, bringing his record to 10-4-0-1 $115.310.

Bravo Whisky – Stalked the pace throughout and moved to the lead in the stretch.
Midnight Path – Stalked the pace throughout, led briefly but was outrun by the winner.
Copper Way – Made a strong move from off the pace to take third.
Chief Of Arc – Trailed most of the way, made a big move in the stretch to take fourth.
Brilliant Dreams – Led the first half of the race, then weakened in the stretch.
Snippets Dancer – Never a factor.
