No other place is more affected by rain than HRP… but I think everyone knew that going into another weekend of dreary, rain-soaked race surfaces.  The good news, the rain washed 300 tons of tetanus off of the B’more sidewalks!  We had a minor upset in The Dinner Party Stakes (GIII) as D J C Racing Stables’ Calling All Angels, third bet at the windows, gets home first to take the mile and an eighth grass stakes, stopping the clock at 1:51.07.  10/1 outsider Saddle Soars quieted the peanut gallery a bit as the Lanfranco Stable owned gelding tried to pull the upset, but settled for second money, a head better than post-time favorite Wayward Prince, from the Angelos Stable in third.  It was another neck to Nakamura Stables’ Americas Hope in fourth.  Ten lengths covered the field of six and the turf course was listed as Soft.
