Seven runners take to the Aqueduct main track in search of capturing this restricted six and a half furlong event. One of the entries being Best Of Seven is hoping to live up to his name on Saturday and walk away with the victory.

While he is absent from this years campaign, D J C Racing Stables has been the only trainer to take home this title twice in its past ten seasons of racing. While the first running took place back in 2006, the event went unraced from 2010 to 2013, then returned in 2014. This season, Night Mare Racing will be looking to become only the second barn to win this event twice. Hopefully she will have success at completing that task.
Here’s a run down of this year’s stellar seven;
1.Easily Amused ( Night Mare Racing)…Snatches the inner rail position and that already is a plus for this entry. This gray filly has only five career starts with just her maiden win to her credit. Showed great poise in her most recent $20 Kist Stakes last month at FON where she finished runner-up. Missed by just a length over this surface against a fast 1:15 and three time for the distance. Will make it tough.
2.Zero Twist ( John Henry)…After breaking her maiden to close out her juvenile campaign, she found the winners enclosure in her opener of the season with a Glitter Woman victory. Has gone longer in her last two higher priced stakes events with some nice closing efforts, so surprising she makes the cut back here. Has yet to race over this oval but does have a decent morning work here on the first of April. Hopefully the switch back doesn’t hurt.
3.Lotta Heart ( Threshold)…Has been able to win half of her six career starts, and is one for one this season. Managed to get to the front early in her most recent Cinncinnati Trophy Stakes race and hang at the wire to win by a head in the photo. Runner-up from that event stepped up to a Graded affair and was unsuccessful at finding a top three. Does have the best SRF rating amongst this group, so could take it all at the line.
4.Best Of Seven ( Chili King Stables)…Took this sophomore eight tries at getting her maiden victory, but found the mar last time out against MdSpWt62 company over this oval. Trainer decided to stay at home with this gray and challenge this restricted company. In her two previous events she took quickly to the front and was only dropping off late to finish third, one length shy in both. Those were milers, so this distance is right up her alley and should have her the one to chase down.
5.Ride The Waves ( Team 7 Illusions)…First of two entries for this veteran trainer, and he is hoping that in first asking off the shelf since being purchased for a sawbuck will hopefully pay dividends. She was being raced on the turf in her past two sprint events and it seems this trainer wants to find her worth on the dirt. She wont have Centeno in the irons and this jock is still in search of their first win of the year. Looking to set the bar for her future.
6. Giveaway ( Team 7 Illusions)…Starts just to the outside of her new stablemate, and maybe the duo can help one another. Recent morning work for this gray filly seems to be pointing to her going out on top and play catch me if you can. Has only three career starts to her credit with her most recent being her maiden victory. Her sire follows in the Commanding bloodlines, so hopefully that will give her a spark to compete tough here.
7.Certain Vision ( Mb Stables)…Takes up the final post position of this grouping, and she won by a stellar three lengths in the slop at this oval against Alw66 company. SRF numbers point to the fact that she should find a top three placing on the day, and her five furlong work just four days prior would concur with that outcome. One of three runners in this field with multiple victories. Factor off last.
