The Fastest Females In All The Land... at least on the main oval.  We look at the field for the BC F&M Sprint (GI), a seven furlong dash for the ladies, and boy oh boy, what a race this shapes up to be.  This field has so much talent, a real solid group of conditioners and this has the looking of an instant classic.

Can you go against Lady Sammyantha here?  I sure can’t.  Four wins on the season, all in her last five races and the other was a wet track… certainly understandable.  The 6yo mare has banked over $3,100.000 in her career, hitting the board twenty-six times, fifteen of them wins.  When you play this game, she is absolutely everything you could ever hope for – and she won this race last year.

I’m sure the trainer will never speak to me again, but I’m putting Penal Partido Rene in the second spot.  He’s put me on notice that I’m his bad luck charm, but I just can’t ignore this, especially at the seven panel distance.  She just missed last out, and I think it’s a big day for this one.

I’m not leaving Mb off of my ticket, so Altered State gets the third slot.  She sure did look good winning the Dogwood (GIII) at CD last out, a big race in my eye.  Her other stakes win was also at seven-eighths, so, again… I’m looking for horses that really form to the distance… and you can’t go wrong betting the Big Barn.

Congratulations and Best of Luck to everyone involved.

Here’s The Field –
