6 SAR Caress (GIII)

It’s a big weekend of racing, and I’m going with Mb Stables in Saturday’s Caress (GIII), a five and and a half furlong turf sprint for the ladies. It’s a nice group with some serious speed, but I just think Data Overload is head-and-tails on this group. She’s won her last two including the Royal North (GII) over the WO sod, and he weight doesn’t get impacted in this grade three event. I’m not even looking for an exacta or tri, just load up on the win tickets and stand at the window to cash ’em in.

Four wins from her last five starts, but the only off the board finish was her only graded effort, a fifth in the Monrovia (GII) at SA. She came right back to knock-out PA-bred stakes company, taking the Power By Far at PRX. She has to be given a serious look in this race.

Long time fan of this one and eleven wins from twenty-seven starts, yeah, she knows how to get the job done. She won the Mizdirection on the SA down-hill course, two back, and was third in the Intercontinental (GIII) over the BEL sod. She can run.

She has a pair of wins this season including the Sand Springs at GP, but her last two have been up-the-track finishes. She was last of seven in the CD Distaff Turf Mile (GII) then last of five in the Eatonton (GIII) at MTH. Obviously, she needs to find some old magic.

Had back to back wins in the Irish Stakes at SA and the License Fee at BEL before that third-place finish in the Royal North Stakes (GII) up north of the border. She’s a solid turf mare and you have to consider her every time she goes in the gate.

She’s still searching for that first win of the ’22 season, but was second in the Lightning City at TAM, and has two other third place finishes vs. stakes company. She was seventh in the Monrovia (GII) as the 7/2 post time favorite, and that won’t cut it with these.

The big barn has this one on her toes as she comes into this off of back to back scores in the Disney and the Royal North (GII). She looks to keep the hot hand going and if she can repeat either of those wins, she should be back for another Kodak moment.

Got back to the winning ways in her most recent as she took down Alw foes at GG on the turf. That was a 5f sprint, and she seems to like the grass, so this could be a spot for her to make some noise, although it will probably be at longer odds. .
