Sprinting females will be on the menu as we head down to Lexington and KEE Racecourse for the TC of America (GII), a six furlong sprint on the main track. It’s well documented that when these big purses are on the line, Mb Stables is always there to get his part, and I don’t see anything changing in this one. He comes with a three headed monster, and while you can make a case for all of those, I took Christina G as my top choice. She got the outside post but this filly looks about as fit as you could want a horse to be. Six wins on the season and she is proving to be a heck of a claim. Certainly not as big as some of the big boys, but let’s give Whiteout Stables’ La Marseillaise a chance here today. Back-to-back wins for this one including a nice speedy score in the Honorable Miss Hcp (GII) last out. Another one of those should put her in the thick of it. Tommy Frazier is another that seems to have a big late kick in these sprint stakes, so give that one a chance to be in the middle of it all, as well.
Here’s The Field –
She has two wins this season but her best work has come vs. softer than what she will be seeing today. She was fifth last out facing similar to today so she is going to need her very best to be involved in the festivities.
One win this season but it came in the Whimsical Stakes (GIII) at WO, which was at today’s distance and she has a pair of thirds in those five starts, both vs. graded foes as well. She was closing fast in that last race at SAR vs. some very nice horses so give her an shot here.
Sold four races back and has mixed results since. Won a nice Alw race at SAR and was third last out facing similar in the Honorable Miss (GII). All four races were at today’s distance so they know what they like. She could improve here.
Only a single win for this one this season and that was her first start of the year back in Jan taking the Inside Information (GII) at GP. She was eighth last out so she certainly needs to find her old form or it’s going to be another long day at the office.
Well, this filly certainly knows how to win big races, scoring in five of thirteen starts, but she sold two back and is still looking for her first win for the new connections. She was second last out at GP in the Princess Rooney (GII) so she looks to be a big threat today as well.
This one is about as consistent as you can want a horse to be… Mb doesn’t mess around and she has three wins and four runner-up races from eight starts. Just missed by a nose in the Prioress (GII) at The Spa last out, so she is sitting on another big race and must be given a huge look.
You don’t win ten races without being able to get on with it. This one also has three wins this season along with a pair of runner-up efforts, most of that vs. graded horses. She’s tough just about every time she lines up, so give her a big chance in this one.
She just never seems to run a bad race hitting the board in thirteen of fifteen races and hasn’t missed the board this year with a 3/2/1 record from six starts. She’s done most of her damage on the turf but she won a stakes at SUN on the main track. And she may have some odds.
Three wins from six starts this year, but the graded starts have left a bit to be desired. She was seventh at WO and fourth at PIM, both vs. graded horses. Went wire to wire vs. OptAlw types last out while shortening up, so maybe they found something she likes.
She’s hot right now, taking two stakes at SAR including the Honorable Miss (GII) last out, and she was as game as you can want a race horse to be in that one. She’s been solid all season and looks ready to run another huge race here today.
She won three in a row headed into the summer but graded horses seem to prove tough for her. Sixth in the Test (GI) and again in the Prioress (GII) seems to indicate that this may be a tough spot. This barn is sharp, so don’t be surprised if this one finds something new in her bag of tricks.
Claimed five back for $62.500 and it’s been a win-fest since then. Four wins from five starts including the Victory Ride (GIII) and the Prioress (GII) last out. She gets slammed out in the far outside post but her ability may be enough to overcome that. She makes a tough group from the Mb Super-stable.
