He has done the job at overnight level but has yet to prove himself in black type. A fair run in the Dixie last time suggests there is something there and a recent sub 1.35 work also helps. An on pace type he will look to dictate the pace from this gate and he could well snatch it if things go his way.

2       Farley Has Authority          Hawaiian Shirt Guy       Gonzalez Ru

Has shown some improvement since winning a maiden claimer and claimer at the end of last year but still has a bit more to go if he is going to win this. He ran better than his placing in the Bay City last time and he will love every yard of this trip so he may be the dark horse in the race.

3         General Principle     Nakamura Stables        Cedillo A

He was pushed as a two year old but didn’t really make his mark in stakes races so he has a little to prove today. Beaten in an LS allowance last time he is one of those that wont run badly but it is hard to make a case for him winning.

4         Grayte Trois        Gdp Inc       Gutierrez Mario

Lightly raced he has been improving nicely after a few poor efforts early on. Unproven at this trip a lot will depend on how much he is traveling up his improvement curve but he hits a light field here so should get a chance.

5         Fast Foggy         Nakamura Stables       Pereira T J

The second entry from the stable and though his works seem a little bit off some of them he is an improving sort who ran well last time and may have the most upside.

SUMMARY

Not an easy race to read but on the face of it Beach Xaar may be the one to beat. Of the others, well any of them could win on their day but i think Grayte Trois and Fast Foggy may have the most improvement in them.
