A fairly consistent four-year-old she ran some decent races last year without breaking through at this sort of level. Her last start saw her very nearly win the Bay Ridge over the mile and that marked a step forward so one can expect enough progress that she will be competitive here.
2 Canary For One Mo Mentum Farm Lezcano J 123 —
On bare form she looks a sure winner here especially as she has the advantage of being a five-year-old. Third in the BC Fillies and Mares Sprint that is far and away superior form to the rest and she has the perfect draw to run her race from.
3 Toothless Night Rider Stables Carmouche K 123 —
Of the form on the board this one is certainly up there with Canary On Fire and she also has the age advantage. Not prolific in the winner’s circle but she always gives her best and has some real nice races under her belt making her a very attractive proposition for the boxed Exacta with Canary On Fire.
4 Crack Ete Gdp Inc Moreno O 123 —
A solid and consistent five-year-old, she is possibly the one to chase home the two principles. She stepped up her game to be third in the Grable Stakes last time and you have a feeling that she is one who will start to show some late bloom.
5 Peppermint Angel Ace Racing Stable Davis D 125 —
This is the second time i have written about the horse with the penalty getting the widest draw this weekend and though she looks up against it here she certainly has the ability to make her presence felt. The winner of nearly half her 16 races She looks third best here on paper.
SUMMARY
Dare i say it this looks between the 2 and the 3 and they look the obvious exacta choice. I wouldn’t be writing off any of the others though and i doubt there will be more than 2 lengths covering them when they turn for home so don’t throw any tickets away yet.
