Candy Shows No Fear as Marty Throws a Party at GP

The FL Sire Stakes – In Reality
1 1/16 Mile Dirt Stake Purse $300.000 Open 2 Year Olds Foaled In FL.

1st Candy Fear Party Martyparty Rodriguez Jam 1:41.84

Made it three wins in a row with a powerful staying effort grinding out a three-quarter length win and beginning to look like a decent hope in the TC chase next year. Bred by the owner he raced much closer to the speed today and was always going well and this was a good step up from his other two wins.

2nd Axon Team 7 Illusions Jaramillo E 1:42.00

Tried hard to repeat his win in the same grade last time but was caught flat footed after halfway and had too much to do down the stretch. This was another good effort, and you can ask no more of a juvenile that four runs and four profitable pay checks.

3rd Profound Fury Mb Stables Davis D 1:42.12

Hung out wide but could not quicken with the first two and ended up a driving third. This wasn’t a bad effort, but you just feel there is still something to come from this gelding and once he can put it all together there may be a decent win in him.

4th= Canyon Clouds Wood Duck Stables Van Dyke D 1:42.55

Looked the best of the stable pair and came out that way but was just a little one paced after finding a nice spot behind the lead and on the rail early on. Just a toddler at 15.1hh and in only his second start you would expect further improvement down the line.

4th= Black War Axeman Perez Edg 1:42.55

Went back to the trail and ran on for a share of fourth it is his running style rather than his ability that is going to be the biggest problem at this level.
