It happened in his maiden win last time when he got away with even softer splits, and he proved today he could go quicker and still win and he did it in a decent stakes race so the trainer may be thinking he could turn out a KYD type.

Plenty of closer’s have been winning recently and this one who has had some rough draws recently had his chances although today with a more inside gate it was always going to be difficult to extricate himself into free air. He got stopped a couple of times before finally getting out and wide but left it all too late and couldn’t get a challenge in on the winner.

3rd Falling For You Mb Stables Gallardo A A

Stalked the leader but found very little when called upon and in the end just whacked away for third. I was surprised that he didn’t go harder at the leader mid race, but he seemed content with the stalk and in the end paid the price.

4th Pie Pie Night Rider Stables Castellano J J

Ran a solid enough race but never really looked like mounting a challenge.
