Today in the feature race at Remington Park all five 3 year old males that signed on to run in the race entered the starting stall. The weather was perfect and the dirt came back fast today. The betting public was firmly behind Captain General making him the 3/2 betting choice. As the gates swung open all the horses appeared to come out well. The betting choice Captain General decided to show some early zip in this race and took control of the lead early and held a 1 length lead over Mass Debatable 2 furlongs into the race, with Planet Java sitting in 3^rd. A half mile into the race Captain General was having it all his own way on the lead and Mass Debatable was still in 2^nd but a length and a half behind at this point. Endure Luxury had moved into third and was on the rail 4 lengths behind this leader. Six furlongs into the race the top 3 in the running order went unchanged but Captain General appeared to be running away with the race as he was widening his lead with every stride. With a furlong to go Captain General looked like a sure winner, with Mass Debatable starting to tire in 2^nd. Endure Luxury and Solar Flash were both moving well and were in a battle for 3^rd and they were going to try and race to the wire. In the end Captain General ran away with the victory and Mass Debatable was able to hold on for second. Endure Luxury also finished strong and ended up in 3^rd.
