1st Cardinal Direction, trained by D J C Racing Stables

A huge win for this horse right here as he now has a free spot in the Breeders Cup Sprint with his win here. I didn’t think he stood much of a chance in here but he dang sure proved me wrong with a very nice win. He ran the race in 1:21.29 and earned $180.000 for his win.

2nd Along For The Ride, trained by Fractious

A fast closing second once again for this horse here as he just got a little bit too far back in the early stages and left himself too much to do. He was near last early and came rolling late but just could not get there. He was second by only three quarters of a length.

3rd Socotra Island, trained by Nynl Stables

Also a pretty good run from this horse as he closed from about midpack for a pretty good third and he was only beat by three quarters of a length when it was all said and done. He ran a good race and I think that he will improve off of this race.

4th Fahrenheit, trained by Mb Stables

Another tough beat for this horse as he once again ran a very big race but just could not get the job done. He was right off of the lead at first but then he went ahead and got on the lead which was way too early to get to the lead. He ran a good race though to get fourth.

Summary

Well a huge win for Cardinal Direction as he now as a free spot in this years Breeders Cup Sprint. I did not really see him winning the race to be honest but he dang sure proved me wrong and ran an absolute great race. Congratulations to Cardinal Direction and D J C Racing Stables.
