Lonestar Annie Has No Issue Stepping Up in The Gamely Stakes
In a field that featured the likes of Painville and Techfluence High, it was easy to look past Lonestar Annie. The five year old mare was making just her second start on the grass, and even though she had a strong work in preparation of the race, others were simply going to be more appealing.
Jakarta Gets His Second Shoemaker Mile Victory
This year’s Shoemaker Mile would see a head to head battle between the last two winners of race as Jakarta (2023) and Electric Blue (2024) looked to win it again while taking on four others. After running a mile on the turf, it would be Jakarta going wire to wire, just like he did two years ago.
Techfluence High May See Pain in Bid to Win The Gamely Stakes Again
Monday’s running of the Grade 1 Gamely Stakes has drawn a field of six that will head to the gate in hopes of picking up the winner’s share of the $300.000 purse. If that winner is Techfluence High, she will become the third different two time winner of the race.
Shoemaker Mile Field Looks Electric
Memorial Day action is plentiful, and among the card on this holiday where we remember our fallen heros is the 21st running of the Shoemaker Mile, a race that may have only drawn a field of six, but among them will be the last two winners of the race.
The PRK Has No Real Drama in the Stretch
It was time for the PRK, and race fans would make KYD winner Extreme Jet a heavy favorite in the Pick ‘em. He’d be one of seven horses in the race that also ran two weeks ago, so there would be questions about how they would handle the other seven in the field that had more rest.
Presenting The Field For The 2025 PRK
As early as October 2023, and lasting throughout the year in 2024, trainers bred horses with the dream of creating a TC champion in 2025. From there, we watched them grow, and the biggest contenders would soon begin to make themselves known. Months of prep races to begin this year would separate the best of the best, and a field of 20 would head to the starting gate for the KYD.
