While the rain made MTH muddy and soft, just a couple hours away at DEL we were fast and firm for the running of the Grade 3 DEL Oaks. The race would see a very close finish at the wire, with Shericka getting the win by a head over second place Nicolette.
My Princess Em Beats a Queen in The Eatontown Stakes
It would be a royal 1-2 finish in the Grade 3 Eatontown Stakes as My Princess Em knocked off Yesterdays Queen to grab the win. The turf course would be downgraded all the way to soft for the race, but it would not lead to any scratches.
Disciplinary Punishes the Field in The Salvator Mile
We would see rain on Saturday at MTH, and it would leave the main track muddy for the day of racing. We’ll see a field of seven fillies and mares in the 19th running of the Grade 3 Eatontown Stakes. This turf race has been a Grade 3 since inception, and has seen it’s $150.000 remain mostly constant since the beginning, although there was a brief period where it was only $100.000.
The Salvator Mile Should Be a Great Race
Heading to MTH this Saturday for the 19th running of the Salvator Mile, a smaller Grade 3 that will run for a $150.000 purse. Back in the day, this is a race was that dominated by Australia Wide, as the trainer won four in a row between 2008 and 2011, with horses like Whats Up and Madhouse.

This Saturday will give us a chance to check out the racing at DEL, as the 20th running of the DEL Oaks takes place, and we will have eight fillies taking part in it. The race began as a Grade 2 for a $500.000 purse, before being downgraded to a Grade 3 in 2015.
