Incinerator won his first race for his new trainer, the $100.000 Thomas Stakes, and now in the Fleet Sprint Handicap, he would score the biggest win of his career.

The race first appeared on the schedule in 2006 for a modest $150.000, and gradually saw its purse increase over time until reaching its current level in 2020.
