There was every reason to like Bronze Bomber in the Arlington Stakes, especially when considering that he had scored two triple digit SRF’s in his prior two starts. That would make him our pick in the preview, and the bettors at the track would also find him to be the most appealing option.

Six horses have made their way to CD for Saturday’s running of the Arlington Stakes, which is a turf event that runs a little more than a mile. This race will be remembered more for being run at AP, being contested there from 2005 until 2021. The closure of that track did not mean the end of the race, as it was moved here to CD last year.

Sinister City Sizzles in The Soaring Softly
There was plenty of reason to like Sinister City in the Soaring Softly. He had come into the race having won five of his last six, with his most recent race snapping the streak and having all the looks of a throw out. If there was any question about him, it would be whether or not seven furlongs would be enough distance for him.
Six Start in Soaring Softly on Saturday

It will run as a graded stake for the sixth time, and sees a purse increase of $75.000 to its current level of $175.000. Six horses will be heading to the starting gate in hopes of being the first one to win that race’s larger purse.
