It came down to the wire, and a tight photo for the stewards to look at closely between Smokin Cara and Shadow State, but in the end, it would be Smokin Cara getting the headbob at the very last moment in order to prevail in the Raven Run.

Dowager Is Truly a Wide Open Race
Seven fillies and mares will be heading to the starting gate on Sunday for the 17th running of the Dowager, a race that will take them the maximum mile and a half around the turf course at KEE. The Dowager was an ungraded stake originally, and would receive it’s graded designation in 2015.
