The biggest day of the SAR meet is upon us, and while the crowd will file in to watch the Travers, they will get treated to multiple Grade 1 races, some of which have major BC implications. The Jones Stakes would come down to the wire on Tuesday, with the stewards needing to check on a tight photo that saw Royal Valor get the headbob over Los Pollos Hermanos to score the fifth win of his career. Royal Valor has had a successful 2023, winning four of his eight races, and would end up running fifth in the BEL a couple months ago.

The Queens Plate, and now the Kings Plate, has been a great race for Mo Mentum Farm in the past, as the trainer has picked up two wins in it, with neither going back any further than 2017.
