Cherokee Devil stalked the early pace, then took control in the stretch to win by a length over a talented field. Data Overload came away fastest, with Sniper and Elijah G up close in the early going. Cherokee Devil settled for fourth, a length and a half back. Then Last City, Hollywood Babe and Shelbags vied for fifth another half-length back, followed by Scafati, The Grandmaster, and Training Wheels. Danube, Cassandra G, Roman Rage and Creepy Rocky Party trailed.

Into the stretch, Elijah G took the lead. Cherokee Devil found an opening on the rail and went for it with Training Wheels following him through. Last City started a strong run from the back of the pack. At the wire it was Cherokee Devil by a length over Training Wheels with Last City getting up for third.
