Shazammm!!!  Onlineracingclub.com lights the tote as Children Of The Sod gets the job done in The Pebbles (GIII), getting home clear by a half-length while stopping the timer at 1:33.19 for the flat mile on the inner turf, here at AQU.  Never far back, the 3yo filly got up in the late stages for the victory, sent off at 24/1 odds.  Pragmatic looked to have this one sewed up as they turned for home, but she just couldn’t hold off the winner and took the runner-up spot.  Another quarter length, When Doves Cry closed a late gap to nab the third spot, then three-quarters of a length to Status in fourth.  Only two lengths separated the field of seven, in this hotly contested affair.
