It’s down to Louisville and a six-pack of ladies set to go a flat mile on the famed CD oval in the Chilukki (GII).  I can see this one going in number of ways as we have a very talented group, but I think fresh off of that third in the BC Distaff (GI), I’ll give American Sky the slight edge.  She shows a nice, graded win in the Pitcher (GIII) at MTH back in July and has been close in a number of other black-type races.  She was closing fast in that BC race… a lot of good news for this one.  Let’s go to the other end of the starting gate and look at Queen Evade Party for the second spot.  Her only seasonal win came back in Feb, where she took the Royal Delta (GIII), but has been the runner-up in her last three starts… the Locust Gove (GII) over this track, the Zenyatta (GII) at SA and the Bayakoa (GIII) at DMR.  She’s a length and a half from having a LOT more money in the bank.  Let’s see if this is a spot for her to get her picture taken.
