1 Afraid Of The Dark, trained by Crocker Cgs
Bought for $44.440 from La Canada Racehorses she is a capable filly but may not
be up to this grade despite a little weight pull. She has done well enough in
a couple of black type races but whilst consistent seems to lack the X factor
needed to win in the grade.

2 Jazzmin, trained by The Sidley Stud
A close second in the grade three Dogwood last year she has been consistent this
year too taking the ungraded Original Gold Stakes last time. She will certainly
be running on at the end of this race and may sneak a place.

3 Ocala Express, trained by D J C Racing Stable
Carries top weight but deserves every pound. A winner of three black types last
year she has run very well in four grade two’s this season placing in three of
them. Only beaten a head in the Royal Delta and a good second in the Distaff
Handicap she has good work times and if the burden of top weight doesnt slow her
down is sure to run a big race.

4 Christine, trained by Wolfs Den
Theres are always one or two that sneak under the radar and this one looks like
one of them finishing a  strong second in the garde one La Troienne last time out.
Her best form this year has been in routes but she proved she could sprint in the
past and a very competitive handicap mark may give her a winning chance.

5 Mischief Made, trained by Mb Stables
A confirmed sprinter with some fast works she hails from the all-powerful Mb Stables
and must have a winning chance unless the outside gate beats her. She made all to win
a PRX open allowance last time so if she gets the outside gate sling shot and a soft lead
she should last home to win.

SUMMARY
Mischief Made looks the one here but i have a sneaking suspicion that Christine may beat
the handicapper in this. The pound difference in weights puts them very close and it
will be the one with the best odds that i will be backing.
