1st Ruths House TwinTowersRacing Davis D

Well, at the end of the day it was class and race form that won as this daughter of Bronx Bomber used the inside gate perfectly and extended nicely for a one length win. Given a tactically perfect ride by Davis, she held the rail and the lead but didn’t push on or make a big deal about it and when she was asked for her effort in the stretch, she had plenty left to pull away. After her good fourth in the Natalma and now this win, she looks a great prospect for the stable.

2nd Wanna Con Big Guns Stables Prat F

Well, if ever there was an advert for works not meaning much and not taking too much notice of form then it was this one as she ran home really strongly for second remaining a maiden but showing that she is much better than that. A daughter of Con Artist she flew past the third-place finisher who was outworking her and had won three in a row and will have given the trainer a nice lift as we head into the winter.

3rd The Lady Of Sod Nakamura Stables Lezcano J

In trying to work out why this horse ended up third we must first look at her run in transit and from there we can see how she took on a classier more established black type filly through much of the race and that seems to have gone against her. She ran much the same splits as she did at SA last time but facing the breeze in a close stalk can be a bit of a race killer and I think it is that rather than her ability that saw her just whack away at the one pace and eventually be passed by the maiden. She clearly has a future but what trip that future is over I am not sure.

4th Neat D J C Racing Stables Silvera Ru

Never really looked like being better than fourth and was a bit lack luster running to the line. Wins will come for her, but they may not be at this level just yet,
