Well, she was the class horse of the race and Geroux decided to take luck out of the equation today and ride her like she was. Spearing to the front from the gate she never looked in danger stealing a break and coming home unchallenged by a length. This was a deserved win for the five-year-old who often finds herself battling the big guns and it was nice to see her coming home today for a win.

The stable forked out a fair amount to wrestle the two-race winner from Luz International but her last two starts tell us that that was money well spent. She took ground off the winner in the run for home but never looked like getting past her but nevertheless the trainer will be happy as this four-year-old has time on her side.

3rd Ginger Lucy The Sidley Stud Velazquez J R

A little disappointing after her good win in the Orchid last time, she stalked the leader but how many times do we see a lone stalker the first to weaken and that’s what happened today. Just a little one paced in the run to the line.

4th The Desire Sheffler Stables Pedroza M Jr

Didn’t really do much and ran evenly all race ending up a never dangerous fourth.
