5 SUN Steak House Stakes
$100.000 3yo Foaled In NM 6f Dirt 120lbs
The good news is we handed out the exacta… the bad news is it paid $3.50. This came down to a two horse race and Cowboys Are King took over in the late stages to win Sunday’s Steak House Stakes by a neck. Iron Mine, the .70/1 post time favorite, had the lead into the lane but couldn’t hold off the eventual winner, settling for the runner up spot. It was two lengths back to Snarl with Peep Show taking the minor placing. The final running time was 1:092 for the six furlongs.
Cowboys Are King is a 3yo bay gelded son of Timber Ratler – Silveetafaka, by Doyoutafaka, and he was bred in NM by his owner, T Boy Racing. This was his third win from eight starts and he now has lifetime earnings of $197.260. Congrats to the connections.
