Creepy Runner Party Breaks Through on the Main Track to Take Ashland

Ashland – Grade I [KYO]
1 1/16 Mile Dirt Stake Purse $750.000 Filly 3 Year Olds.

1st Creepy Runner Party Mb Stables Velazquez J R

The Martyparty bred and Mb Stables trained three-year-old showed why she was good enough to be a grade one winner and BC runner up today storming home for a great win from a wide draw. Her best form had been on the turf before, but Mb has stuck with her on the dirt and today got everything right and she picked up the second grade one of her career. She now sits in a KYO field which is looking dominated by this trainer, and you would have to say that she has emerged as a huge chance.

2nd= Rephrase Mb Stables Hernandez R M

Having only her third career start with her only win coming on the free track this was a huge effort from the filly. Leading out of the gate she was never left alone but was much more tenacious than she was in her last start and only got beat by her grade one winning stable mate.

2nd= Tactical Spin Alydar Stables Geroux F

It looked like it was going to be win number three for this filly who traveled in her usual spot but just wasn’t strong enough to deal with Creepy Runner Party in the finish. I don’t think this run has damaged her chances in the KYO as I think she will be suited by the extra distance.

4th Heart Of Joy Royalty Stables Corrales G

Stalked the lead and never let the leader have a moments peace but, in the end, paid the price. She will go to the KYO as a pace influence and whilst the trainer will be a little disappointed in this fourth, she was only beaten a length and can step up enough to be a factor on the big day.
