1st Crossing The Rubicon Team 7 Illusions Velazquez J

Looking at this ones form i really thought he would play second fiddle to his stable mate but with hindsight i can see just what a schoolboy error that was. Ignore the form of all these horses and look at the work times and this one was clearly very close to the winner and that of course is what you must do at HRP. With most horses pretty much the same we see these horses take their turn at winning and today was this ones turn, not a huge surprise when you see a 1.09 and 4 6 furlong work in her record. Leading at a good clip he was clear for much of the race and had more than enough left to hold on by a half length. This is the first time T7 has put this horse in the lead and it proved to be the perfect tactic as the rest of the field left their finish too late.

2nd Crack Dab Gdp Inc Lezcano J

For some reason he left his challenge later than he did in his last race and went down a hard closing half length. He clearly has ability but always seems to leave his challenge too late.

3rd Feathers Not Dots Team 7 Illusions Saez L

Stalked the leader but failed to really show a turn of foot, whacking away for third but only beaten a length.

4th My Guy Second Chance Farms Castellano J J

Started the odds on favorite but could only run into the blanket finish for placings ending up fourth. He won in a faster time on this track and over this distance last time but left it all too late today for some reason.
