As predicted in my review I thought it was a match between Spring Lover and Tiger Town and that how it turned out with the two of them going past the wire together for a dead heat to share The LA Derby with Copper Opus a length further back in third.

Spring Lover and Tiger Town dead heated for first place in The LA Derby, Spring Lover settled close up then took up the lead in the home stretch only to be caught in the final furlong going head to head with Tiger Town to the wire then after a photo the judge called a dead heat for first place with Copper Opus a length further back in third. The winners are owned by Mb Stables and Aer Stables.

Spring Lover started in second dropping back to race in third before improving position in the home stretch to take the lead quickly joined by Tiger Town going head to head to the wire for a dead heat.
Tiger Town started in third then ran on down the home stretch getting up in the final furlong to dead heat for first place.
Copper Opus lead from the off till the home stretch being passed by the running on Spring Lover and Tiger Town to drop back finishing third.
Menagerie started in last of the four runners and did not make a place to finish there.
