Finally this great mare made it back to the winners circle in here and she ran a very good race to do it. She came from a good ways back and came with a very good run to get up and get a part of the money. She did win in a dead heat but it’s still a win. She ran in 1:41.87 and earned $120.000.
1st Viking Vania, trained by Delta Farms
Well here is a horse who I didn’t think would have any part of this race because I thought she was on the downhill slope but she ran a very big race in here to dead heat for the win. Maybe this can give her some confidence and she will be ready for a Breeders Cup Distaff title defense. She ran a huge race to win.
3rd Sports Creek, trained by Estero Farms
Also one who I didn’t think stood much of a chance but she ran a very big race and was only beaten a head for the whole thing. She really surprised me with how good she ran and I think she is a whole lot better than I thought. She will most likely be in the Breeders Cup Distaff field also.
4th Dirty Deeds, trained by Aer Stables
This made here also ran a very good race to get only get beaten by a neck for the whole thing. She closed from way back and was rolling late but just couldn’t get up in time. I thought she ran a pretty big race and should move forward to the Breeders Cup off of this race and she should run big in there.
Summary
Well this was a very exciting race that saw two horse who looked like they might be done have a little resurgence and get back to winning ways in a very big race. A neck separated the top four of that tells you how tough the race was. Congratulations to Wicked Heat and Mb Stables and Viking Vania and Delta Farms.
