When the dust settled Saturday night at CD, The Roxelana went to the placing judges as Jedediah and El Gran Condotteri hit the line in pretty close fashion… and after Stevie Wonder, Jose’ Faliciano and Ray Charles examined the photograph, the race was declared a dead-heat.  In my eye, the owner of El Gran Condottieri should thank his lucky stars, as Jeddediah was clearly in front on the wire.  But… here we are…  Break From Holly was three-quarters of a link back in third, then a nose to Miss Atomic Bomb in fourth and early pace-setter Tunted another head back in fifth.  The final running time was 1:092 for the six furlongs on the Fast CD main track.

Jedediah is a 4yo bay filly by Fox News – Girl Scout, by Jail Bait, and she was bred by her owner, D J C Racing Stables in NY.  This was her fifth win from fifteen starts and she now shows lifetime earnings of $239.970.  Congrats to the connections!

El Gran Condotteri is a 4yo bay filly by El Gran La Maison – Betty Condotteri, by Condotteri, and she was bred in NY by Running Farms.  Purchased by First Flight Networks for $60.000, via Private Purchase, she now has three wins from fourteen starts and has lifetime earnings of $267.990.

Jedediah tracked the pace 2p, moved to 3p for the drive, had to drift moving up to engage leader, all out, won driving, dead-heat.  El Gran Condottieri trailed throughout, closed quickly deep stretch, late surge, dead heat.  Break From Holly tracked the pace, lost some ground just prior to the far turn, moved widest into the lane, game effort.  Miss Atomic Bomb just behind pace, saved ground throughout to no avail.  Tunted sent from the gate, set the pace to just inside the sixteenth, used. up.
