The Green Card swings and misses, and I was right about grabbing something to eat/drink as TwinTowersRacing pulls the upset with Derby Dreams providing just that… the big win in Monday’s TX Derby, here at LS. Speed was the plan as the bay colt led at every call, cruising home by a length at 11/1 odds. Lightning played second fiddle most of the way around and brought home that money, a head better than Aggressive in third, then a gap of three back to a dead-heat with I Miss Texas and El Gran Blue Jay splitting the minor money. The final running time was 1:41.17 for the mile and a sixteenth over the main oval, listed as Fast, and six lengths covered the field of six.
