There is no doubt that she was the class of this race, and she made it two stakes wins for her new owner with a pretty smooth win. She is now proven over sprint trips and the mile plus so there will be plenty of options open going forward and with her stable mate Lady Sammyantha dominating the sprints, we could see her stretch out for a place in the Distaff.

The four-year-old ran far better than I expected and certainly justified the interest in her ownership that has been displayed recently. This once again showed how little difference there is between graded stakes and high-end races as she had been running very similar races in overnights as her effort today. Staying on well she will certainly be worth another shot at this level.

She ran on pretty well for a close third but still is struggling to find the form that saw her third in last year’s Distaff. She seems to have just lost her edge at this level but nonetheless her class will keep her competitive for this year at least.

The participation certificate was shared as we saw yet another dead heat, this time for fourth. The four-year-old was once again a little one paced and never really looked like she was going to get into the fight so she may need even further than this mile and sixteenth.
