Diamond Haggis Toughs It Out in The National Museum

The National Museum of Racing – Grade II
1 Mile Inner Turf Stake Purse $500.000 Open 3 Year Olds.

1st Diamond Haggis Fractious Prat F

The price of 10/1 was pretty generous considering this one’s recent form but he didn’t know his odds and he ran like he was the best horse. Going hard early, he eventually handed up the lead but wouldn’t go away eventually getting the better of them in the stretch in a game win. The pace was key today as it never got beyond just an honest gallop and that left him with enough at the end of a half-length win. This is a tough sort who has never run a bad race.

2nd Crickets Martyparty Velazquez J R

Right with the winner for the entire race, he just couldn’t find the finish to get past him. He continues to go these honest races and eventually he will win a good one.

3rd Extreme Super Hero Mb Stables Franco M

Didn’t go to the front which was a bit surprising, but that job was taken up by the stable mate that started the odds on favorite and ultimately disappointed. He made ground nicely into third and looks a progressive sort who went up in grade today and coped really well.

4th Neagh D J C Racing Stables Lopez P

Trailed the field and made ground for fourth but never had the chance to land a blow.
