10 DMR DMR Debutante (GI)

Out to where the surf meets the turf and we cant a nice field of eight freshmen fillies set to go seven panels in the DMR Debutante (GI). It’s a real nice group of fillies and I landed on Mb Stables and Paris Pinnacle Party as the top selection. I know those state-bred stakes can be a little deceiving sometimes, but that win in the Sorrento (GII) was about as “for-real” as you could want, so I’ll look for her to repeat. Let’s go right next door and give Folded Wings a big shot today. This is only her third start, so she has room to improve and she gave the top choice all she wanted in that Sorrento (GII) lane.
There’s a number of others that could certainly be “the one” and the Green Card disagrees with me 100%… you know me and baby races.

Broke maiden at second asking, was third in the Schuylerville (GIII) at SAR, then sold for a pretty penny and didn’t do much in her first start for the new connections. Sixth beaten a length in the Adirondack (GII) where she just didn’t really have an excuse in my eye. Still, she was only a length back so maybe she fires a bit better in her second start for this barn and gets in the middle of things.

She’s been on the board in all three stars, just missing in her first trip to the gate, then getting it done at CD in wire to wire fashion, then tired a bit while forcing the issue in the Sorrento Stakes (GII) over this track in her most recent.

Another that hasn’t run a bad race, winning her first two, breaking maiden and then a stakes race, both vs. NY-bred, then just missed after doing all of the heavy lifting in the Adirondack (GII) where she ended up second beaten a half-length. She’s been tough in all starts and you have to give her a big look.

One start, one win, and she won by three at PRX vs MSW in her first trip to the gate. That was in Apr, so they gave her some time and she looks ready to give a big effort today. She could be any type, so make sure you use her in your tickets.

Was rolling along, breaking maiden and just missing in the Debutante, she was a tough nut when second in her first trip to the gate… but last out was a tough day. Last of nine in the Adirondack (GII) and she’s facing a bunch of that group again today. Can she bounce back?

Looked good breaking maiden at PRX in her first start, then closed to run big over this track as the runner-up in the Sorrento Stakes (GII) in her most recent. Nice blow-out over this strip getting ready for today… all systems are GO!

Mb Stables just keeps bringing monsters to the track and this one fits that bill. Looked good at LS showing a pair of wins and a third, but that last out win in the Sorrento Stakes (GII) over this track certainly makes her the one to beat today. It looks like the longer the race, the more she likes it.

Broke maiden at SA back n May facing Cal-bred types and has changed hands twice since that win. She was sixth in the Debutante at CD and fifth in the Sorrento (GII). Now she was only a length back in both of those races, so… she may have some odds a good trip could make her the upset special of the day.
