Dozen Set For Monday Knickerbocker at BEL

The gents will be headed to the gate on a holiday Monday and we look at the field for The Knickerbocker (GII) to be run at a mile and an eighth on the BEL inner turf course.  I have this narrowed down to two horses in my eye and I’m giving the nod to Divos Moon Shoot.  Back to back wins including the VA Derby (GIII) last out.  He’s a real hit-or-miss type, but when he’s right, and he seems to be, he can be a tough nut to crack.  I’ll give the second pick to the horse that I really want to put on top, Napoleanic War.  Obviously, Mb Stables is a power house, but with back-to-back runner-up efforts, I really think this one is sitting on a win… and this could certainly be a spot to get the job done.

There’s some real class in this field and some of them have struggled of late… if one of them can turn it around, it’s a spot to get your game back where you need it to be.  There’s also a couple of horses on the improve, and they could surprise at a price… but you can’t pick em all, so let’s go with what we brought and try to nail this one down.
