Purse $150.000 For Fillies Three Years Old

Gulfstream Park Hallandale Beach, Florida

Dreambits from Mb Stables came out quickly, established the lead and held sway in an impressive performance, lasting all the way on a surface labeled as “good”. The filly now has earning of just under two hundred fifty thousand dollars. Congrats to the connections. Top Nurse from Our Athletes did not break quite as sharp as the winner and that might have been the difference here. “Nurse” moved up after an eighth of a mile and stayed in striking distance the whole way. She just simply couldn’t get to the winner in the lane, but she was handling the track and tried hard all the way. Something Aint Right from South Shore Stables got hammered at the windows late to go off as the favorite. She shuffled back to the rear and then proceeded to start picking them up and laying them down soon after the half mile pole to run third while not having the greatest trip ever seen. Solid move and one to watch. Tariff Terror from Pan Farms broke alertly and came out with the leaders, backed off just slightly and held gamely for fourth without being able to get to the leaders.

Of the rest:

Neds Diva from The Sidley Stud looked like a speed horse about to faint when they turned in, but she fought hammer and tong all the way in a much better performance than the form past performances will show. Tab her for her next start and remember where you heard it.

Sod Fairy from Nakamura Stables appeared like a horse that didn’t care for the surface. Plain and simple, put a line through the race and back her next time she hits a fast surface.

Assyrian Queen from Alabarda Stables also ran better than the past performances will indicate. Taken back from a horrid gate draw, she settled and then tried to run on in a race where the front stayed put. Keep her on your watch list. She did appear to handle the surface ok.

Call Me First from Croker Ggs ran even in an effort where, like a few others, she just didn’t look like a horse enjoying the surface today and made no impact.

Winter Weather from Blazin D probably has the barn scratching their collective heads tonight as she sure looked like a horse that would benefit by the tracks condition, but she never got untracked in a puzzling performance.

Comanche Women from Lionking Stables simply found winners of this caliber a bit too much in her first appearance since breaking her maiden.

Midnight Hurricane from Aer Stables is small and still growing, so you can’t be too harsh. Looked up against it today and ran like it.

Natural Performance from Williams9 has ran last in two stakes races since breaking her maiden at Charles Town. Probably needs a drop to compete.
