1st Duke Or Earl, trained by Gdp Inc

Well a return to the turf did the trick for this runner as he finally got back to the winners circle and he won his first graded stakes in eleven months. He sat near last and came strongly late to get up to win by a head. He ran the distance in 1:39.69 and earned $90.000 for the win.

2nd Iguazu, trained by High Voltage

Not going to lie I did not really see this horse having much of a chance but he darn sure ran a huge race and he almost pulled off the upset. He was also far back early but then he moved up with a middle move and he tried all the way but just could not get the win.

3rd Name Drop, trained by John Henry

A good third also for sure as he was only beaten by a neck by the winner so he was not beaten far at all. He was third the whole way but he was a couple lengths off of the lead. He made a good run down the lane but he just could not get up for the win.

4th Sinister Sunset, trained by Team 7 Illusions

Well just an odd race for this horse has he blew out to the lead and even opened up by three lengths and one point down the backstretch. I thought he might steal it for a second though but he just got too tired. If he wouldn’t have blown to the lead he might have been able to hold them off.

Summary

Well all it took was a return to the turf for Duke Or Earl to get back into the winners circle against graded stakes company. It was quite a horse race as only a neck separated the top three and Duke Or Earl outlasted them all. Congratulations to Duke Or Earl and Gdp Inc.
