Dupixiet Passes The Test

The Test – Grade I
7 Furlongs Dirt Stake Purse $500.000 Filly 3 Year Olds.

1st Dupixent Night Rider Stables Ortiz I Jr

Went to the front at just an average pace for HRP and that was enough to see her hold on for a diminishing head win. She was bought from the free track master Spinetingling at the end of last year and has been consistent since in decent lower grade stakes races, but this was a big leap up to grade one and she just made it home. The last time she led a race was at the free track over a mile so it was either a master stroke of tactics that won her this race or just a decision of the race engine, either way her trainer will be happy to take this big win.

2nd Shericka Winning Link Stables Velazquez J R

Stalked the leader, but the pace was just too average for the leader to weaken enough for her to get past her. She managed to do just that in the DEL Oaks last time but as usual form at HRP from one race to the next very rarely agrees and today she just failed. Another decent effort from a consistent filly.

3rd Promote Violence Team 7 Illusions Lezcano J

Ran on well for third beaten just under a length which is a fairly good effort for a filly running in her first ever stakes race.

4th Silk Road Big Guns Stables Prat F

When you go to the back on an average pace it leads to one thing at HRP and that’s running on late for a minor paycheck. Sure enough, the usual scenario played out and though she wasn’t beaten far in the end she had to settle for the losing purse.
