Eastern Sky Looks to Cruise into the BC for the Trainer of the Moment

The Flower Bowl – Grade I (P3) [BC]
BEL   Race #7   1 1/4m   InTurf   Graded Stake
Purse $500.000  For Fillies And Mares Three Years Old And Upward.

1 Pip Kadabra, trained by Chili King Stables
Fairly lightly raced she has been one of the few four year olds to improve this year and has managed a grade 3 and grade 2 win. Though her win in the Sheepshead Bay was very good her best performance may have come in the grade one Just A Game when she was a one length third. In her last start she drew wide and the wide gate speed push meant she went into a  clear lead and weakened which was somewhat against her natural race so i think we can safely ignore that. A lovely draw today puts her right in this.

2 Condottieris Fox, trained by Hawaain Shirt Guy
This five year old sandwiched a terrible run in the Beverely D with two game wins in the NY and the KD Ladies Turf. A thirteen race winner who is four from seven this year she is a long way from finished and may be the biggest threat to the three year olds.

3 Good Line, trained by Mb Stables
Finished in front of Condottieris Fox in the Beverley D when fourth and had previously won the BEL Oaks. Those two efforts and the three year old weight allowance make her an attractive choice and the fact that she has never been outside the first four in a race backs up that assumption.

4 Cant Touch That, trained by D J C Racing Stables
She has been beaten twice recently by Condottieris Choice and although she was finishing nicely in the KD Ladies Classic i cant see her turning the tables today.

5 Eastern Sky, trained by Maxmillion Farm
Beaten by Good Line in the BEL Oaks she seems to have improved since by taking the grade one Beverly D and the grade two Sands point. This makes for an interesting rematch and she looks to has improved most so it os sure to be very close.

6 Sunset Beach Honey, trained by Nakamura Stables
This four year old was building a really progressive record before a poor effort in the Beverly D suggested she wasnt ready for that level. A nice sort who is working well she may have to settle for place money as her best hope.

7 Heartland, trained by TwinTowersRacing
Three graded stakes win culminating in the grade one Wiley had this one as an early season BC contender but her form has tailed off since and coincides with meeting the three year olds. She is still working well but her recent efforts suggest she may be a spring type rather than an autumn one.

SUMMARY
This looks to be between the three year olds Eastern Sky and Good Line with a sneaky hope for the older fillies Pip Kadabra and Condottieris Fox.
