Edward Is “Great” in True North Victory

$400.000      4yo&Up              61/2f  Dirt      123lbs

I’m not sure which is more foolish… the weather or the number of dead-heats… three in this race alone, crazy.  What isn’t crazy is Mb StablesEdward The Good… perhaps even great!  The 4yo chestnut gelding stayed close to the pace in Saturday’s True North (GIII), moved up on the outside of the pace and cleared the field by three-quarters of a length, stopping the timer at 1:143 for the six and a half furlongs.  That’s three wins in a row and he shows seven wins from fifteen lifetime starts for this monster barn.  He has amassed $2,419.100 in earnings in that time, and he obviously isn’t close to done yet.  Congrats to the Connections!

Excogitator wanted to land Family Racing it’s first graded stakes win but came up just a bit short, securing the runner-up spot and a very nice payday.  It was another neck to Maxmillion Farm’s Gorilla Glue, and the same distance to a dead-heat for the minor share between Luz International’s I Want It All and Pan Farms’ Chisel.  Only three lengths covered the field and there were no scratches.  The main SAR oval was comically listed as Fast.
