  9  HOU   HOU Ladies Classic (GIII)

To cow-town we go and a group of eight ladies set to go a mile and a sixteenth in the HOU Ladies (GIII).  Equal weights, so we can throw that out the door… but where to go in this one?  Well, The Green Card and I agree that Starting Over, last year’s winner, is the one to get past today.  She closed well to be the runner up in the BC Distaff (GI), but did have three wins last season, including some GI wins… with no added weight, she seems the go-to to us.  I put Wavy Girl in the second spot… She was fifth beaten a length on BC Day, and encountered some trouble, so with a smaller field, she should get a better trip and that puts her right in the middle of things.  The Card has Skydancer in their second spot… that one with three stakes scores last year, two of them graded, so she has the class and knows how to win.
