RACE 9 DMR Oceanside Stakes

Narrow miss last out in his return from a break that dated back to a poor effort in the FL Derby (GI). He probably needed that one and should look for improvement here today. Still, I don’t think it’s enough to get the job done, but a minor share could be worth a look.
Two wins from six seasonal starts and goes after stakes company for the first time. He spit the bit on soft turf at CD in his most recent, but he seems the type that either is right on top of his game or folds up going into the far turn. I can’t get too excited and will pass.
Nice gutsy win at MTH last out sprinting in very fast time. That’s two wins from his last three starts, but will be facing stakes types for the first time. I like that bullet best of 55 work here on July 13th, so he may like the grass here… and he could be fair odds.
Nice win back off of the claim for this barn, who always seems to step ’em up and get the check. He’s won four of six lifetime and although he’s seen nothing like this group, he certainly shows ability and a knack for getting to the wire first. Don’t ignore him.
Lightly raced but has won two in a row and this certainly seems like the logical place to go with him, unless you just wanted to do the thru-the-conditions thing. Eight length romp at LS v. Alw horses and he did it with ease. I don’t like the long lay-off getting back to the races, but he has a string of nice local works, so you got to give him a big look.
Stakes winner of $203.770 and you can certainly dismiss that last race at BEL due to the soft going, which I just don’t think he likes. Other than that and graded company, he either gets the job done or is right in the thick of it… and I expect the exact same here.
Another with a solid sting of races and just missed v. stakes horses at MTH in his most recent. Only one race off the board race this year and that was only a length back v. graded horses… you get the picture, this one is right there.
Has been tiring v. similar and the post is no friend here today. He shows early speed, so I think you put that with the post and you get an early lick and an early trip to the showers.
