  3  WO   Kennedy Road Stakes (GII)

 We head up north of the border and look at a field of eight sprinting gents set to go six furlongs in the Kennedy Road Stakes (GII).  I’m not head-over-heels in love with anyone here, but I know how things play out (most of the time).  This looks like a perfect spot for The Big Barn to get the job done, so Quick Knight is my top pick today.  His three seasonal wins have been against un-graded types, but he’s been close in a number of graded races and today could be the day to get this knocked out.  Let’s go in one gate and put Clairvaux in the second spot.  He hasn’t won since May but has been close in a number of stakes… the best (maybe) of those was a second in the Vanderbilt at SAR where he closed to miss by a length.  Something like that would make him a tough nut vs. this group.  Grab a cold-snack and let’s see how this one plays out.
