7 SA Beholder Mile (GI)
$400.000 3yo&Up F&M 1m Dirt 3yo 121lbs Older 124lbs
We have a field of eight ladies headed to the gate for a fine purse of $400.000 for this years Beholder Mile (GI) to be contested on the main track here in SoCal.
This is a very nice field of females and I landed on Out And Bad as the top choice. She looked good over the LRL strip last out putting another win into her wallet. She won half of her races last year and I’ll take her in this one as well. My second choice sold after that Fritchie (GIII) race and Camp Hollywood is another that knows where the wire is and loves this track. I think she will be tough today and would not surprise me if she flips the script and takes the win. I’ll put Cannolo in the third spot because I just think she is due to get her game turned around and find her best foot again. She disappointed last out as the favorite in the HOU Ladies Classic (GIII) but she has the class and form. It should be a great race!!

She hasn’t had her picture taken since Aug when she won the Pine Stakes (GIII) at DMR. She did show some of her patented speed last out when tiring against NY-bred stakes horses, but she will need to bring her A-game to be any part of this one.

Other than her BC Day race, she’s right in the thick of things in every recent start. Just missed at HOU vs stakes horses to kick-off her ’20 season and looked good when second in the Spinster at KEE last fall. She is a horse that can get the job done and may be a
price.

Has won four of her last six and most of those were vs. stakes company, so you know she has the ability to get the job done every time she gets in the gate. Speed, class… she’s got it all. Nice win in the Fritchie Stakes (GIII) last out – she looks tough.

One bad race of recent times and got her ’20 season off in good fashion taking The Inside Information (GII) in a closing effort that put her home in front by two lengths. She was first or second in five of seven starts last year, so you know she has what it takes.

Changed hands back in Oct for a pretty penny but it’s been up-hill since the big barn took over. She was sixth in on BC Day then fourth in her ’20 debut at HOU. She won four races and more than $1,000.000 last year, so don’t count her out just yet.

Nice win at AQU over NY-bred stakes horses and that has been her go-to for the past few races. She won five races last year, was on the board in eight of eleven starts and has a win and a second already this season. But this is a bit of a step up and she will need to bring it.

Closed out ’19 with a wn in the La Brea (GI) over this track and then just missed in the Fritchie (GIII) to get her ’20 season started. Changed hands after that race but this is certainly a capable barn and should have her ready to fire her best shot.

Failed as the .60 favorite while facing Alw horses at GP to get this year started, and she tired in the late going of that race after doing all of the heavy lifting. She won four of ten races last year, so she can be a hand-full when she’s right.
