Sunday sod action for the older females, and it’s an interesting group set to go a mile and a sixteenth over the famed Louisville Lawn in the ET Mint Julep Hcp (GIII).  I know I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, but whomever makes the weights for these races must be really bad at darts.  Anyway, due to the fact that I think it’s a farce, we will let The Green Card do the pickin’ in this race.  They say Red Flags is the way to go… a second and two thirds in her three ’24 starts, the thirds vs stakes horses including last out going a mile in the Royal Heroine (GIII) at SA, she certainly looks the part.  Right next door, Tabitha Stephens is the second pick, and she’s had a couple of tiring efforts vs slightly better, the Hillsborough (GII) at GP and the Wiley (GI) at KEE being the backdrop for those races.  She was second in the Pegaus F&M Turf (GIII) and had the lead late in that race, so yeah, she has some back class for sure.  Helen Of Troy is the third choice from The Card, that one won at FON then was ninth of eleven in the Whimsical Stakes (GIII) at WO… now they go to two turns, so this pick has me scratchin’ but… I don’t doubt The Card.
