Electric Makes it Four Straight by Winning the Whitmore Stakes

Whitmore Stakes 6F Dirt Grade 3

Purse $250.000 For Four Year Olds And Upward

Oaklawn Park, Hot Springs Arkansas

Electric from Angelos Stable might be eight years old, but don’t tell him that, as the gelding is running around like a three-year-old colt out on the track. Not only winning but winning in bunches and asking for more. Congrats to the connections of this great storybook pony! That win puts him at over the $2,000.000 mark in earnings. Hollywood Cruiser from Threshold ran very well in defeat today as he managed a strong second place finish as he continues to fire one strong effort after another. Daddys A Baller from Luz International looks to be back on the beam as he has now run good in two straight since a disappointing effort in the Phoenix Cup. I Want It All, another runner from Luz International gave the stable a boost by completing the superfecta and allowing the barn to cash the third and fourth place checks. A nice effort from this horse who now looks on the improve.

Of the rest:

Creepy Romantic from Maxmillion Farm came out in fifth and ran in that position all the way around the track in what can only be described as an even effort at best.

Dorian Gray from Mb Stables was the single on many tickets and thus disappointed more than his barn today. “Gray” broke out slightly and never got to the lead, pushed hard early and then faded back slowly during the running in a disappointing effort.

Nebula Warrior from Broken Spoke Stables was hard sent and held on for a while at a big price, but then when they turned up the heat nearing the top of the lane, he had no response and backed out of it.

Admiral Knight from TwinTowersRacing broke seventh and soon found himself in eighth. He never threatened to menace these foes today.
